About
Trained by a veteran.
SAMS Training was built on real experience and a simple belief: safety education should be thorough, clear, and something you actually feel good walking out of.
Sam Kim
Sam Kim is a certified instructor for the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (Licence ON#1237). He is a retired Canadian Armed Forces paratrooper with 23+ years of service who built a second career around teaching Canadians how to handle firearms safely and legally. His many years involved in all firearm-related industries (military / tactical, competition, hunting, recreation, security, retail, film / entertainment, historical, and private instruction) allow him to relate to all students, young and old, beginners to experienced marksmen.
His combination of educational and professional training contributes to his unique ability to deliver the course in a way that is fun, comprehensive and easy to digest. The consistent feedback: clear, patient, and genuinely engaging.
That reputation shows up in the numbers. SAMS Training has earned over 1,300 five-star Google reviews, almost entirely from people who have never handled a firearm.
