WHICH COURSE(S) SHOULD I REGISTER FOR?
YOU MUST TAKE THE CFSC BEFORE THE CRFSC!!!
YOU MUST TAKE THE CFSC NON-RESTRICTED FIRST! THEN YOU CAN TAKE THE CRFSC RESTRICTED COURSE SECOND. YOU CAN REGISTER FOR BOTH AT THE SAME TIME IF YOU WANT TO TAKE BOTH!
CATEGORY 1: BEGINNER, wants to go hunting, shooting ranges, own, use rifles & shotguns (long guns) ONLY = REGISTER FOR CFSC ONLY (1 DAY COURSE) COST: $237.30 + $21 textbook + $258.30 total.
CATEGORY 2: BEGINNER wants to go hunting, shooting ranges, own, use ALL KINDS of rifles & shotguns and learn how to use handguns = REGISTER FOR BOTH CFSC & CRFSC SEPARATELY (2 DAYS TOTAL TRAINING),
COST: $237.30 + $192.10 + $21.00 textbook = $450.40 total if both courses completed within 30 days, SAVE $45.20! or $495.60 TOTAL if CRFSC is completed over 30 days after CFSC.
CATEGORY 3: NEEDS RPAL FOR EMPLOYMENT (CBSA, armed security) and can go hunting, shooting ranges, own, use ALL KINDS of rifles & shotguns and learn how to use handguns = REGISTER FOR BOTH CFSC & CRFSC SEPARATELY (2 DAYS TOTAL TRAINING),
COST: $237.30 + $192.10 + $21.00 textbook = $450.40 total if both courses completed within 30 days, SAVE $45.20! or $495.60 TOTAL if CRFSC is completed over 30 days after CFSC.
CATEGORY 4: EXPERIENCED, CRFSC UPGRADE, has already completed CFSC or has a valid non-restricted PAL licence card = REGISTER FOR CRFSC ONLY (1 DAY COURSE).
COST: $190.10 TOTAL (WITHIN 30 DAYS OF CFSC), OR $237.30 TOTAL AFTER 30 DAYS OF COMPLETING CFSC. NO TEXTBOOK INCLUDED.
CAF Member / Veteran discount =$365.00 TOTAL, $40 DISCOUNT if attending both CFSC and CRFSC.

STEPS TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT
SAMS Training requires all students to complete the reservation process in order to enroll in a course.
STEP 1: Go to the Course Calendar to find a course date that works for you. Click on the date you want, and then click on the pop-up of the course details, and go to STEP 2.
STEP 2: CLICK on REGISTER AND RESERVE YOUR SPOT. Next, choose the correct course type, scroll through the calendar to select your preferred date, click on the “8:00am* box, fill in the form, and submit your non-refundable registration fee through PayPal. You will receive a confirmation email. CHECK your email (including spam / junk email folder). If you received a confirmation email, you are now registered for a SAMS Training course!
STEP 3: PREPARE FOR THE COURSE. You will receive email reminders about the course. PLEASE READ THE EMAILS. If you want to change or cancel your course date, you can change and reschedule your course by clicking on the link in the confirmation email.
which course should you take?
CFSC = Canadian Firearms Safety Course (non-restricted firearms, eg. long guns, rifles and shotguns),
CRFSC = Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (restricted firearms), eg shorter rifles, shotguns and handguns)
You can take both or just one, it’s up to you. Registration process is the same for all courses. If you do both courses back to back you get a discount. CFSC (non-restricted) course is always on the first, and CRFSC (restricted) course is always AFTER. You must take BOTH the CFSC and the CRFSC if you want to take the CRFSC restricted course (unless you already have a non-restricted PAL, or have completed and passed the CFSC). It is MANDATORY to complete the CFSC, BEFORE you complete the CRFSC. If you want a more informed decision go to our FAQs page where we try to explain it all. You save $65 if you do both courses within 30 days of each other.

PAYMENT METHOD: CASH. We do not accept any other form of payment at this time.
48-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY.
ONLY SIGN UP FOR A COURSE, if you are 100% sure you attend that date! A deposit is required to register and reserve a spot on the course. This will be deducted from your course fee. The remaining cost of the course is collected in CASH upon arrival to the course.
CANCELLATION FEES
48 hours before start time = $10 fee per course, $90 refund per course.
Within 48 hours of start time = NO refund of deposit issued.
If you do not cancel 48 hours before, you will lose your deposit.
